The Collision Repair Process
The entire seven-step process at North Texas Collision Center is to ensure that you have a clear understanding of the typical collision repair process. It is important so you are well aware of time frames, what is involved during the repair process, and what to expect once you are able to safely drive your vehicle once again.
Vehicle Drop Off
If you have been in a collision or an accident, then simply call or drop off your vehicle at our location. Our team will work every step of the way with your insurance provider to ensure an estimate that is accurate while actively assessing any active or potential damage to your car. All of the most important information will be forwarded to the insurance company and our customers.
Auto Body Repair
After the inspection, the disassembly of the vehicle will start. Tear downs are also initiated and requested by the insurance provider to make sure all damages are accurately documented and to find if the vehicle is still salvageable. Once a customer insurance company has provided authorization, the shop will order the necessary parts.
Paint & Polish
Once the body work is finished entirely, an electronic measuring system will analyze the car to restore it according to factory specifications. This is to ensure that the structure of the car remains structurally sound. During this part, wheel alignment and other suspension repairs will be enacted. After all of the mechanical repairs, the mechanics will focus on the car’s exterior, restoring it with a paint job. A paint job is more than just the car’s aesthetic, it is a refinishing process that involves the restoration and replacement of panels before proper priming and stealing.
Reassembly
The reassembly is just that — the vehicle will be reassembled with proper, doors, lamps, grills and other parts that your car may need. The bulk of the repair process has been finished and the car is almost ready to be delivered to the client.
Clean Vehicle
After your car has been reassembled, we will completely clean your vehicle inside and out. We will give it a wash and vacuum to ensure that your repaired vehicle is spotless again.
Quality Assurance
One of the key factors that differentiate one repair collision center from the other is the importance of quality control. After a thorough wash and interior cleaning, personnel will have the vehicle go through a meticulous physical inspection of all mechanical parts to ensure safety and performance.
Vehicle Ready
As soon as your vehicle has been inspected and the quality control has been approved, our team at North Texas Collision will notify you when your vehicle is ready to be picked up. Your service inspector will help you complete the final paperwork and take you step-by-step through the repair process.
